Sick tree. Weird colors?
Is your green tree no longer green or maybe missing some foliage? Leaves look weird or maybe something is just off? Usually there isn’t just one symptom with a sick tree, but rather several factors contributing to whats known as the “decline spiral”. The earlier the spiral is detected and the root cause found, the better. Sometimes it’s an easy walk up diagnosis and other times we have to parrot detectives and send off a series of samples to the labs based on speculation from past precedent. The sooner an issue is detected, the better.
Funky fungi?
The right mushroom in the woods can be hard earned treasure, but when found on your beloved tree a cause for concern. An accurate ID on the wood decay fungi on your tree is a non negotiable for the safety of your property. An accurate ID is will usually also need a resistograph drilling to determine the extent and location of the decay in your tree.
